About LSIA

BlueHeron

The Lancelot Shores Improvement Association Board, and your neighbors bid you welcome to our beautiful community.

The Lancelot Shores Improvement Association (LSIA) is a non-profit, independent, voluntary run association. LSIA was formed in 1970 in order to purchase the roads, beaches and wells from Great Northern Land Corporation, the original developer of Lancelot Shores. Our function is to maintain the beauty and value of the Lancelot Shores Community. Each of us, as neighbors and lot owners share in this responsibility. LSIA is responsible for maintaining roads, beach areas, mail house, and any other LSIA property that are owned or leased or to which the Corporation is otherwise entitled.

The LSIA Board of Directors is made up of five volunteers; officers consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Clerk. The Board of Directors is elected annually by the membership to represent our community and manage the daily business.

Members are encouraged to get involved in the community, run for office, join a committee or suggest a new one. Members have a voice; so please attend the annual meetings. There are two annual meetings one scheduled in the Spring, Memorial Day weekend and one in the Fall, Labor Day weekend.

Each lot owner is allocated one share per lot. Each lot is assessed an annual assessment. These fees are collected for the maintenance of our common areas: including the roads, the beaches and the Entrance. The roads are maintained by outside contracts that include paving, plowing, and sanding.

The Town of Farmington does NOT maintain our roads. We do.

Lancelot Shores maintain three beach areas for members’ use. Maintenance costs apply to boat launch ramp and the picnic tables on all three beaches.
